Week 27 - Swimming in Salt Spring Island Pool


Day 104 (February 12, 2015): 750m Total  155.789 km.
Day 103 (February 10, 2015): 2500m Total 155.039 km. 
Day 102 (February 9, 2015):   1800m Total 152.539 km. 

Went skiing this weekend and used different leg muscles... So I am not using all muscles to swim breaststroke... clearly.
It was tough today and time constraints meant I couldn't just swim swim swim, I had to get out for school pick up.
Then Family Day holiday on Salt Spring Island and a quick swim in their pool in Ganges.  Lovely pool. Hot tub too hot.

Week 26 - Looking Ahead

Day 101 (February 8, 2014):  2250m Total 150.739 km. 
Day 100 (February 6, 2014):  2500m Total 148.489 km. 
Day 99 (February 5, 2014):  2500m Total 145.689 km. 
Day 98 (February 4, 2014):  2500m Total 143.189 km. 
Day 97 (February 3, 2014):  2375m Total 140.689 km. 
Day 96 (February 2, 2014):  2650m Total 138.314 km. 
Checked in with some YouTube videos and BBC guidance and then tried to implement some changes. Not big changes but they work and I am now doing 12 strokes to a 25 m length if I concentrate the whole way. That's a reduction of two strokes per length.  Gotta be good: Hard to sustain.

Week 25 - Swimming friends.

Day 95 (February 1, 2014):  2250m Total 135.664 km.

Day 92 (January 28, 2014):  2500m Total 128.414 km.

Today I got to speak with Trudy and she is delightful, she had previously said she welcomed swimming alongside me, when we shared a lane.  She is a sleek swimmer and I wanted to tell her she is my inspiration, however, she beat me to it and I was quite overwhelmed, and couldn't take the comment easily.
I wish her well, and hope she continues to swim nearby.
I am trying very hard to improve my stroke and she told me that I had everything in balance and was compact... I thanked her so much because I needed someone to tell me if my hips are out of line... she told me I am in a good line... how splendid.  
This week's Swim.... I am past Innisfail!
